In our culture of “what makes me happy” and “how I can speak my truth”, we may find ourselves struggling to allow God to truly reign over our lives. We want to have some sense of control. We question God as to why we are in a situation or still struggling with something we already prayed about (as if praying one time should always change the outcome when we want it too). Oftentimes the truth is that we have prayed about it, but we haven't taken our hands off of it. We ask God to move but we have a death grip on the matter at hand and refuse to actually leave it with God. He offers us the free will to exchange the things that haunt us for His yoke, one much lighter. How do you do that you ask?
